The Three Angels’ Messages are God’s final wake-up call. In the final showdown between truth and deception, your loyalty will determine your destiny. The mark of the beast isn’t just coming—it’s being set up right now. Will you be ready to stand? Stay with me as I uncover the most solemn warning in all of Scripture—and what it means for you.
The Most Solemn Warning Ever Given in the Bible is found in
Revelation 14:9–12 and it delivers the third and final message of the three angels. It contains one of the most serious warnings in all the Bible. In fact, it’s the only place where God directly threatens people with unmingled wrath if they make the wrong choice. That’s how critical this issue is. Revelation 14:9 & 10 says:
“…If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God…”
This isn’t symbolic wrath. This is the undiluted justice of a holy God. So what is this message really warning us about—and why does it matter right now? What is the beast? What is his image?
We’re not left guessing.
Revelation 13 and Daniel 7 identify the beast as a religious-political power that rises from the sea, speaks blasphemies, persecutes God’s people, and claims the authority to change God’s law. Protestant reformers and theologians understand this to be the Papal system—not individuals, but the institution.
The image of the beast is a reflection of that system. It represents a time when the U.S. and other nations will enforce religious laws and unite church with state—mirroring the beast's historic union of political and religious power.
Revelation 13:15 warns that the image of the beast will lead to persecution:
“...as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.”
It’s coercive. It’s deceptive. And it’s coming.
Contrary to popular belief, the mark of the beast is not a microchip or barcode. It’s a spiritual allegiance revealed in how we worship.
God's seal is found in His law—in the fourth commandment, the Sabbath (Exodus 20:8–11). It identifies Him as Creator, gives His name, title, and territory. So naturally, the mark of the beast must involve a counterfeit system of worship.
A careful study of the Bible reveals that the mark of the beast is forced Sunday worship—once it’s legislated.
Currently, Sunday-keeping is not the mark. But when Sunday observance is enforced by law in place of God’s seventh-day Sabbath, it becomes the mark of the beast. Why? Because it will be obedience to man over God.
This is confirmed in Revelation 13:17
“And that no one may buy or sell except one who has [g]the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”
Economic pressure will precede harsher penalties—eventually even a death decree as we already read in Rev 13:15.
The Wrath of God—What Does That Mean?
Revelation 14:10 says:
“He himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation...”
This is a direct reference to the seven last plagues in Revelation 15:1. God’s mercy is withdrawn. Probation is closed. And those who have chosen the beast's authority over God's will experience the final judgments.
The Bible uses the image of wine in both good and bad contexts. The “wine of God’s wrath” is a symbol of divine justice without mixture—no grace, no second chances. That’s why the Third Angel’s Message is so urgent. It’s a final call before God’s judgment falls.
What’s with the Fire and Brimstone—What Does That Mean?
Verse 10 continues:
“…He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone…”
Verse 11 “And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever…”
Is this eternal torture?
No. The Bible clearly teaches that the fire is eternal in EFFECT, not duration
Malachi 4:3 says “You shall trample the wicked,
For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet
On the day that I do this,” Says the LORD of hosts.”
They don’t keep burning, they will be ashes under the feet.
Jude verse 7 says “ as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”
Those cities are not still burning today.
Sinners will be destroyed—permanently. Not tortured forever, but consumed. This is the second death as it says in Revelation 20:14–15) “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” V-15 “ And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Ezekiel 33:11 says “Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord GOD, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die’…”
God takes no pleasure in destruction, but He will bring sin to an end. His love demands it.
After all this warning, Revelation 14:12 shifts the tone:
“Here is the ]patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.”
While the world bows to the beast, there will be a group who stands. They love God enough to obey Him—even if it costs them everything. They trust Jesus, not their own strength. And their loyalty will shine in the darkest hour.
This group keeps all ten commandments—including the Sabbath—and their faith rests entirely on Christ. That’s what gives them patience, endurance, and courage.
Why Does This Message Matter Right Now?
Some might wonder: “Isn’t this extreme? Why not just focus on love and grace?”
Because love tells the truth. God doesn’t scare us—He warns us, because He loves us. The third angel’s message is heaven’s final alert before Jesus returns.
Right now, we see the stage being set:
• Religious liberty is under pressure.
• Global crises are stirring calls for a “common day of rest.”
• Church and state alliances are gaining momentum.
The decisions we’re making today are shaping our readiness for tomorrow’s test. That’s why this message must be proclaimed with power—and urgency.
Choose the Lamb, Not the Beast.
Revelation doesn’t just reveal beasts and judgments. It reveals Jesus, the Lamb who was slain.
Every message in Revelation 14 is really about Him:
• The first angel points to the everlasting gospel.
• The second angel calls us out of confusion.
• And the third angel calls us to true worship and obedience.
The question is: Who will you worship?
The beast offers popularity, comfort, and ease. But Jesus offers truth, eternal life, and peace that lasts. You can’t follow both. One leads to destruction. The other leads to the New Earth.
Friend, now is the time to decide. Will you follow the crowd—or follow the Lamb wherever He goes? The third angel’s message is not just prophecy—it’s personal. It’s about your allegiance. Your worship. Your eternity.
Jesus is calling you to stand. Will you answer?
In the next video, I’ll explain what the “patience of the saints” is all about.
At 3ABN Australia Radio, we believe truth still matters. And the third angel's message is truth worth sharing.
